Welcome to the 1-B Hive!
All About the Hive:
Prayer is first and foremost in our Hive.
Prayer is a vital part of our classroom experience. At the beginning of each day we ask Christ to help us be more like Him by offering all we think, do and say for His glory. Before eating lunch we ask God to bless us and the gift of food that we are receiving by His hand. After lunch we thank God again for his gifts. Before leaving school we pray the Hail Mary and the Glory Be. In addition, we remember that God sent many holy people, some of whom are recognized as Saints, to help us become closer to Him. Our classroom has a patron saint that we pray to every day. The patron saint of our classroom is Saint Nicholas. Click on the button to learn some interesting facts about our patron saint. We attend Liturgy of the Word on Tuesday mornings. We pray the Rosary during the months of October and May, we participate in the Stations of the Cross during Lent and have regular visits from the deacon or parish priest. Our classroom has a Prayer Board that includes the names of people that have asked us to pray for them. Our Prayer Board friends are remembered every day during morning and afternoon prayers.
Our class motto is "Spread a little sunshine every day and make life sweet!".
